I am an inspired Mother, a silly one at that :-) who has found her passion! I have enjoyed baking all of my life. I remember when my grandmother would teach me as a young child how to measure the ingredients to bake chocolate chip cookies! Yummy! I would prefer baking over cooking any day! I have always loved artistic and creative things like drawing, painting, dancing and writing, and now cake decorating! I also have quite a bit of an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder when it comes to perfecting my projects....which I think is a great fit for this business!! :) When I became a mother, the best thing EVER... I became very interested in "over-the-top" birthday cakes, cookies and all that fun happy sugary stuff! I never really had enough time to make them myself but always admired them and always got my children the most amazing cakes I could afford! My children teach me to live without fear and take chances even if you fail, it's OK! One day I decided to give it try....a practice cake if you will....I was told it was "Confection Perfection!" I always loved that term!!! I was HOOKED! I discovered such great passion for designing and creating cakes that it was like an art form to me that came so naturally. I started out just making cakes for family and friends, and I received so many referrals and requests that I considered making this a business. I felt soo inspired by what was happening and what I was creating..that I started Sweetly Inspired Cakes (the perfect name for how I feel). I just Completely LOVE what I do and I am enjoying this creative inspired journey in Sugar Art!!
